Had the birthday party this weekend. About 25 friends showed up to an apartment that could barely hold their number. Everyone stuck around for about 4 hours, which was a pretty good amount of time considering it was a Sunday night and we started at four.
The day started slowly due to a film shoot the night before that I helped out with an took stills of.

Mid-day
lumpyhead duped me into thinking we had an appointment to visit a potential house to rent. But she really had a surprise waiting for me at Burke-Williams spa. A seaweed bath and a 50 minute massage. The massage I desperately needed as my trapezius muscle has been so bound that I could hardly turn my head to the left.
Relaxed and rejuvenated, she dropped me off at my friend James' apartment because we needed to run and buy a new grill and supplies for the party. After purchasing said grill, I spent the next hour putting it together. It was simple and the grill turned out some fine morsels of meaty goodness.
lumpyhead made a red-velvet cake adorned with blue frosting and orange decoration. 35 was too many candles so she bought ones that spelled out "Happy Birthday". It was fantastic. I won't go into how she misjudged the baking process, but one of the layers almost went supernova in the oven.
All in all, a great birthday and one that really made me thankful for all of my friends and family and especially my
lumpyhead.
